This drawing group thing is becoming a habit. I tried to capture the pensive look on her face.

In my experiences most of the figure models at the drawing group have another occupation.
This one was a Yoga instructor. She could actually hold standing poses on her '"tippy toes" !
I got this likeness a little later in the session as she was sitting

As I  resolved to do - attend figure drawing, and work on drawing skills,
after working on a long pose -for way too long of course I quickly tried to capture the
model in the last twenty minutes. A fair likeness I will say.
I think I'll go back for the short poses next week.

Never been one to make  too many"NewYears Resolutions"

 - we all know why

But... I am going to make a conscience decision

to attend a figure drawing session, at least once a week.

I just keep saying it "If you can draew a better figure - you

can draw a better tree !

Here is a plein air piece painted ,standing on the bank of the Chippewa River in Wisconson.

I thought it a challenge to paint the atmospheric perspective in a mostly "Green" composition.

Here is a recent painting from "Fresh Paint" A Plein Air Painting event I was in.

Its titled "Ruthys Place" I recieved an Honorable Mention for the painting, then sold it to a local collector !
